Lexplore is a pioneering and mission-driven company which provides teachers, principals, tutoring and education leaders an effective tool to help assess and raise students’ reading ability. Lexplore’s mission, from the outset, was to raise awareness of the importance of reading proficiency.
Backed by 30 years of academic research at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, which has selected the Nobel Laureates in Physiology and Medicine since 1901, Lexplore first launched its unique method of assessing reading in Sweden in 2015. After a successful entrance into the US and UK markets, Lexplore was launched in Australia and New Zealand in 2020.
Our work is still driven by the same overarching commitment to education upon which Lexplore was co-founded decades ago by scientists, Gustaf Öqvist Seimyr and Mattias Nilsson Benfatto, both researchers from the Marianne Bernadotte Centre. Gustaf and Mattias featured in the 2019 Royal Academy of Science and Engineering’s list of most prominent 100 Swedish scientists for their work and are still involved in product development at Lexplore, today.
Close to a quarter of a million tests, globally have been conducted and Lexplore has featured prominently in the media. Our company has also been nominated for numerous awards and ranked in the top eight of Europe’s top 50 most innovative companies.
Today, we have offices in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, USA and Europe, and together with partners, we are represented in the United Arab Emirates and Africa, with the LING Project currently using our technology to raise literacy levels among the female population of Northern Ghana.
